Christmas Tags

The last and final projects from my December Stamp Camp.  Everyone can always use gift tags at Christmas time.  It's always fun to put a little hand-made touch to a Christmas gift.

When you open up to the inside of the tag with the snowflake on the front of it you have a cute little pair of mittens with snowflakes on them.  Just a little reminder that here in Minnesota, if it ever  snows, you need to wear a pair of mittens to keep your hands warm.  (We just had a little dusting yesterday but a pretty brown Christmas this year.)  The back of the tag with the ornament on the front has an ornament on the back where you can  add the To and From. I sure hope your Christmas was as wonderful as mine was.

Just a little reminder...you only have a few days left to order things out of the 2011 Holiday Mini Catalog.  The last day to place your order is January 3, 2012.  Check it out to see if there are any items you just can't live without.  Make your list and head for my website, then while you're there you might also want to check out the Clearance Rack as there are some awesome items on sale.  This sale goes through January 5, 2012.  This is a sale with no big crowds and you can enjoy the comforts of your own home.  Happy New Year and Happy Shopping!

Pennant Parade: merry Gift Card Holder

Here is a gift card holder I found on a blog and changed up a little.  Since gift cards have become so popular lately I thought this would be a good idea for a Stamp Camp project.

You take the white card on the right side and slip it down in the red sleeve and you have an awesome gift card for that special person this Christmas.

Here is a close up of the inside of the gift card.  I used this stamp from the Sweet Season stamp set.  All you have to do is add a gift card in the pocket above the saying and put in the name of the person you are giving the card to and sign your name and your're all set to go.

And finally, a close up of the front of the gift card.  I used Stampin' Dimensionals under the label with the "merry" on it and stamped the little stem and pot then punched the tree with the Pennant Parade stamp and punched it out with the Petite Pennants Builder Punch.  Since I already had Stampin' Dimensionals under the label, I only put a dimensional under the top of the tree and used Snail Adhesive for the bottom of the tree.  It gave it a 3-dimensional look which was just the cutest.  You could take this idea and change the stamps and paper and use it for any holiday.  Happy creating!

Season of Joy: Holly Berry Merry Christmas

Here is card #3 from my December Stamp Camp.  I never thought the Framed Tulips Textured Impressions Embossing Folder would come in handy when making Christmas cards.  I found this idea on someone's blog and loved the simplicty of this card yet it is just beautiful.  If in doubt of a color combination try it anyway.  I wasn't sure about putting the Sahara Sand with the Real Red and the Old Olive but once it was all done I just love the color combination together.  Die cutting the berries with the Stocking Accents Originals Die using the Red Glimmer Paper was a GREAT way to add a little sparkle.  Of course adding the Basic Pearls just finished it off.  I can't remember whose idea this was but thank you for the beautiful card idea.  Everyone loved it.

Petite Pairs: Merry Christmas

Here is another one of the cards from my December 2011 Stamp Camp.  This was an idea I received from my upline, Dawn Olchefske.  You can see her 10 Minute Tuesday Video that shows how to make the card.  The Delicate Doilies stamp set is an amazing set.  There are so many things you can do with this stamp including making a wreath like was made on this card.
For the inside just take a 1-1/4" Circle Punch and punch a circle out of a post-it-note and put it in the center of the card and stamp the doily again. Once you take the post-it-note off the card you will have a white space you can add a greeting in the center. This was totally an awesome idea. I just loved it and so did my customers that came to my December Stamp Camp.  The "Merry Christmas" and and inside saying, "and a Happy, Joyful, Bright New Year" are from the Petite Pairs stamp set.   This set is a GREAT all around stamp set if you are looking for a greeting and saying to go with it.  Gotta love it.

Bells & Boughs: A Merry Christmas

This is the first of one of the cards made at my December 2011 Stamp Camp.  The Snow Burst Textured Impressions Embossing Folders is one of my favorites.  Also the holly and berries from the Bells and Boughs stamp set is just beautiful and so realistic.  Adding the touch of the Cherry Cobbler 3/8" Quilted Satin Ribbon just finished it off.

Stitched Stockings: Merry Christmas

This is the last of the cards for my October 2011 Stamp Camp!  This one has to be my favorite as I love the colors blue and green together.  It is a very simple card yet very beautiful!  The Silver Glimmer Paper is totally one of my favorite new papers.  I love the fact that the glitter look does not leave glitter all over when you use it.  You get 2 sheets to a pack and can punch out lots of stocking tops, heels and toes.

Bright Hopes: Merry Christmas

This is another card from my October 2011 Stamp Camp.  This was one of the favorites after all the cards were made.  Although you can't see it very well . . . I used a 2-Way Glue Pen on the white lattice and then added Dazzling Diamonds Stampin' Glitter and I totally love this card.  I also used the Decorative Label Punch and played around with it and the Merry Christmas stamp from the Bright Hopes stamp set.
This is a close-up view.  You can see all the Dazzlings Diamonds Glitter I added using a 2-Way Glue Pen.  I think we will all wear glitter for days.

French Foliage: Birthday Wishes

It's another October 2011 - Stamp Camp card.  Do you know anyone who has a fall birthday?  The French Foliage stamp set has some of the most realistic leaf stamps I have ever seen.  Take some solid cardstock, die cut some additional leaves and put them through the Big Shot with the Vintage Wallpaper Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.  This just totally brought the solid leaves to life.

Here is the little Hand Sanitizer Holder open to show you the little bottle of hand sanitizer.

Warmest of Wishes: CPC4

Today I am posting a card I made for Creating Pretty Cards Challenge #4  over at Craft Project Central. I just love their challenges as they always use Stampin' Up! only products...my favorite!  Although fall is my favorite time of the year, I sometimes struggle with the scarey vs. the cutsie cards for Halloween soooo...will it be SCAREY or CUTSIE?
Here is the sketch for the Creating Pretty Cards – Card Challenge #4!!
Here is my card for the CPC #4 Card Challenge.  I just love the owl from the Warmest of Wishes-Hostess Set out of the current Holiday Mini Catalog.  I had fun making him 3-dimensional.  Of course the Owl Builder punch is such an amazing punch.  How fun to be able to punch out the owl and all the eye pieces.  He was carrying a little trick or treat bag but the one from the Spooky Bingo Bits stamp set was a little BIGGER and I thought maybe he could get a few more treats in it.  I know...always thinking about candy...especially at Halloween!  The Lattice Bigz die was perfect for a spider webbie look to add the paper with the spiders on it from the Frightful Sight DSP paper pack which I put Stampin' Dimensionals under.
Check this out...I had so much fun creating some character to this little Halloween owl.  He's even holding his trick or treat bag.  How cute is that???  There is actually 6 layers to this cute little owl. So the question is...Is the card SCAREY or CUTSIE?  I think it is actually a little bit of both.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Today I am posting a card I made for Creating Pretty Cards Challenge over at Craft Project Central.  This is definitely "Out of the Box" for me as this is the first time I have participated in a challenge.  I'm really excited to see what I will come up with since it is usually a challenge in itself for me to make up my own color combinations plus choose my own stamps, etc.  Well here goes...
Here is the sketch for the Creating Pretty Cards – Card Challenge #3!!
Here it is...my first challenge, completed!  I'm really excited about how my card turned out.  Since today was a cooler day outside, I decided to go with more of a fall look to my card.  Feeling a little fallish, I added the buttons as it reminded me that all too soon we will be buttoning up our sweaters to keep warm when out for a walk.

Love & Care: "Birthday Wishes"

Oh yes...another birthday card.  I was on a mission to get some birthday cards made.  The flowers were made from the (level 2) hostess stamp set from the 2011 Summer Mini Catalog, Love & Care.  This is another one of my current favorite sets out of the Summer Mini Catalog.  I have also added pearls to this card which makes it that much more beautiful.  You can purchase the pearls on my website where you will get 1 sheet of the basic pearls which has 50 each of 3 different sizes on them for a total of 150.  Even with putting 4 pearls on this card you will still have 146 left for many other cards.  Don't be afraid to put a few pearls on a card like I was...we have plenty more where those came from if you run out!
